Diabetic girl, 9, left without food for hours on delayed Ryanair flight with mum fearing for daughter's life

A terrified mum was left fighting to keep her diabetic daughter's blood sugar levels from dropping after no refreshments were available on their delayed Ryanair flight.

Nine-year-old Isla Jennings, who has type 1 diabetes, had eaten lunch at Manchester Airport before she and her family jetted off to Tenerife.

However, no refreshments were available onboard the flight, leaving the youngster relying on a packet of Jelly Babies before they finally landed at 11.30pm.
