Manchester United's campaign was placed on pause over the weekend because of the return of the Premier League's winter break, meaning several members of the squad have been enjoying some time away with their families.
But while the likes of Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo have enjoyed some downtime, as well as soaking up some warm weather training in Dubai, a number of United players who were sent out on loan during the summer have been continuing with their respective loan clubs as normal.
United sent out a total 14 players on loan during the summer, with some of those having since changed clubs in the past month.
Another two have also gone out this month, and some of them were in action over the weekend.
With that in mind, MEN Sport has taken a close look at those who were in action and how they got on.
Starting in the Championship, it proved to be another successful weekend for centre-back Di'Shon Bernard at Hull. The Tigers, in their first game under the stewardship of new manager Shota Arveladze, extended their winning run in the league to three matches with a 2-0 win over Swansea.
Bernard, starting on the right of the back-three, played the full 90 minutes and ensured the Tigers recorded a third successive clean sheet to continue their upward momentum.
Elsewhere, fellow centre-back Teden Mengi and Birmingham City suffered late heartbreak, squandering a two-goal lead against Derby County to draw 2-2 late on. Lee Bowyer's side were 2-0 up with just three minutes of normal time left to play, but Krystian Bielik's stunning equaliser in the 96th minute robbed Birmingham of all three points to bolster Derby's survival hopes.
Mengi played the full 90 minutes for the fifth Championship game in a row, but the Blues are yet to keep a clean sheet since he joined the club earlier this month.
James Garner and Nottingham Forest experienced a rare-off day on Sunday afternoon, going down 2-1 to Cardiff City. The Bluebirds led 2-0 before Forest netted a late consolation goal through Keinan Davis. Garner, however, did claim the assist for the striker's goal, delivering a perfect corner.
Meanwhile, fellow Championship loanee Ethan Laird played no part in Bournemouth's 1-0 win at Barnsley.
Dropping down into League One, midfielder Ethan Galbraith experienced a difficult weekend as Doncaster were beaten 3-1 at home by Plymouth. Rovers took an early lead but were powerless to halt an Argyle fightback, meaning they remain bottom of the League One table, 10 points from safety.
In League Two, Reece Devine , fresh from signing on loan for Walsall on Friday, was thrown straight into the starting line-up for their clash with Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium. However, it was not enough to prevent the Midlands outfit from falling to a 1-0 defeat. Devine spent the first of the season on loan at St Johnstone.
Meanwhile, also in League Two, United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop helped Mansfield continue their excellent run of recent form, helping them earn an eighth successive win, as they beat Leyton Orient 2-0 at the One Call Stadium. Bishop, who has now racked up six clean sheets in the league this season, has kept two shut-outs in his last three appearances.
North of the border in Scotland, Amad made the dream start to life at Rangers, scoring within just just five minutes of his debut in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Ross County. Amad tapped home from close quarters to make his mark at his new club, just days after arriving from Old Trafford. Rangers recovered from 2-1 down to lead 3-2, but County snatched a 96th minute equaliser to deny the Gers the win.
Elsewhere in Scotland, Dylan Levitt played the full 90 minutes as Dundee United lost 1-0 Celtic late on at Celtic Park.
Meanwhile, the likes of Axel Tuanzebe, Facundo Pellistri and Andreas Pereira, who are on loan abroad, were not in action over the weekend due to a mixture of winter breaks and not being selected.
