After delivering a game-winning shot on the road Sunday night, Suns star Devin Booker made it a point to share a message to his critics following the team’s 116–113 win over the Knicks.
The Phoenix guard’s latest clutch basket came in front of New York’s bench with 1.7 seconds left when Booker came off a screen to sink a fadeaway three-pointer over Knicks forwards Julius Randle and R.J. Barrett.
Considering the circumstances of the moment, Booker’s bucket happened to serve as a real-time example countering past criticism he faced after saying he didn’t like double teams during open gyms. And, apparently, his memorable moment was enough to inspire Booker to take to Instagram to troll the naysayers.
“Always complainin’ bout the double,” Booker wrote in the post’s caption along with fan videos of his game-winning shot.

On a night where Phoenix was short-handed due to injury, Booker’s heroics capped an impressive 28-point, 11-assist and five-rebound effort as the leader of a lineup missing Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal.
On a more a personal note, though, the 27-year-old seems to feel a bit of vindication after sucking the life out of the Madison Square Garden crowd and proving his doubters wrong once again.
