Young Nottingham Forest defender Fin Back has had "very successful" surgery on a hamstring injury.
The 20-year-old picked up the injury while out on loan at League Two side Carlisle United, where he has made 17 appearances in the fourth tier of English football this season.
"He had surgery on Wednesday morning over in Finland, there was a surgeon who did the operation over there," Carlisle United boss Paul Simpson told News & Star.

"We're looking at a minimum of three or four months which probably takes us to about March so we will have the conversations with [Nottingham] Forest now that this surgery has taken place just to see exactly what they want to do with him.
"He was telling me that he's flying back from Finland on Friday and wants to come up to the game on Saturday with his dad, but I had to try and tell him that it's far too early to be sitting in a car from the Midlands.
"That just shows the kind of lad Fin is, he wants to be involved, he wants to come back, but he has to be a bit more sensible about it."
On what's next for Back, Simpson added: "It all depends on what Forest decide, Forest may want to keep him back with them and they may want to recall him, I don't really know at this moment in time.
"It's more about getting him sorted with the surgery and starting his recovery and making sure everything's right for Fin to continue playing to the level that he did while he was with us."
Taking to Twitter after his surgery, the youngster posted: "Devastated - but unbelievably thankful for a very successful surgery from Dr. Lasse Lempainen and his team!"
