A devastated mum has told how she was left heartbroken when doctors revealed her unborn son had died. Melissa Hayat's third pregnancy was going well and, despite suffering from extreme morning sickness, her son appeared to be healthy.
But all that changed on December 23 as the mum was given devastating news during her 12-week scan, Manchester Evening News reports.
Melissa's unborn baby boy, who she named Noah, had swelling on his neck. His bowel was growing on the outside of his body and he also had an irregular heartbeat. Tragically, doctors knew he wasn't going to make it and they prepared Mellissa to expect the worse.
