Hollyoaks stars have flooded social media with tributes and shared their heartbreak as it was announced the show's crew member Reggie has died.
Gregory Finnegan, 42, who plays James Nightingale on the soap, announced the sad news on his Instagram page as he posted a tribute to Reggie.
The circumstances around Reggie's death have not been shared.
Soap actor Gregory posted a photo of Reggie wearing a red dressing gown and boxing gloves and tagged the location as the Hollyoaks set.
Writing in the caption the James Nightingale actor said: "The Hollyoaks family lost a great one today. Huge love for you Reggie, my Harlesden neighbour and friend - you’ll be missed by everyone who knew and loved you. Rest in Peace brother Gx".
Meanwhile, other Hollyoaks stars flooded the comments of Gregory's post to pay tribute to Reggie and share their heartache over the sad news.
Rachel Adedeji, who played Lisa Loveday from 2014 until 2020, wrote: "Oh no! This is such sad news! RIP Reggie!".
Liberty Savage actress Jessamy Stoddart penned: "Heartbreaking news RIP Reggie xx".
While Anna Passey, who plays Sienna Blake on the soap, added: "Rest easy Reggie" followed by a white heart emoji.
And Chelsee Healey, who plays Goldie McQueen, added: "absoloutly devastated by this news [broken heart emoji] [broken heart emoji] sleep wel reg" followed by a series of crying emojis.
Jessica Ellis, who played Debs from 2013 until 2018, called Reggie an "absolute legend" while Sylver McQueen actor David Tag said: "Oh no Reg! What a guy".
Amy Conachan, who plays Courtney Campbell in the soap, wrote: "Heartbreaking news [broken heart emoji] rip Reg".
The show's official Instagram page also wrote a tribute which read: "Such heartbreaking news. RIP Reggie", followed by a trio of broken heart emojis.
Rishi Nair, who played Sami Maalik until December 2021, said how Reggie was "one of a kind" while Olivia Bradshaw star Emily Burnett penned: "Heartbreaking. What a great man."
And Ariana Fraval, who portrayed police officer D.S./D.I. Cohen on the soap, commented: "SO sad I loved Reggie what a lovely person [crying emoji] such sad news", followed by a broken heart emoji.
