Devastated girl filmed sobbing in Manchester Airport as dream holiday cancelled AGAIN

A little girl burst into tears when her holiday was cancelled for a second time following two days of delays.

The child screamed out in anguish after passengers at Manchester Airport were told that their flight to Tenerife was called off again.

Hundreds of jetsetters waited for two full days to fly out of the airport before being told the crushing news that their wait was not over.

Other children were heard sobbing while parents cursed and yelled 'oh my God' following the announcement in a video taken at the terminal.

Flight cancellations, delays and queue chaos continued last week with airlines and airports still struggling to meet demand.

Kelly Clarke, 42, was among holidaymakers hoping to board the plane with her nine-year-old son Toby.

The wedding photographer, from Stretford, Manchester, told The Sun how her £1,400 TUI package holiday was booked to start on Monday.

But the pair faced repeat delays including six hours on Monday and another five hours the following day when their rescheduled flight was pushed back to 10.30pm.

TUI then announced that their plane had been called off for a second time after Kelly and Toby had already checked in and went through security.

Kelly filmed passengers' reacting the moment the news was announced with angry families demanding answers.

"There's an announcement happening. Why have we been left for two days, abandoned?" one woman shouted.

A staff member explained seconds later that flight TOM2106 to Tenerife was "unfortunately cancelled".

Kelly said: "The kids in that video were absolutely sobbing their hearts out.

"It was awful seeing them so upset. No sleep and sitting around an airport for two full days.

"Zero staff, zero explanations. TUI and Manchester Airport, sort it out now."

The flight was rescheduled again to Wednesday but Kelly said that most people opted for a refund rather than "going back again for round three."

But the mum claims she is still waiting for her refund from TUI despite visiting a store and spending hours on hold.

Kelly had another TUI holiday booked to Ibiza later in June but the travel agent recently cancelled the trip.

TUI said it is "incredibly sorry" to customers who have been affected by the recent disruption of their services.

A spokesperson said: "We understand that last minute delays and cancellations are incredibly disappointing, and we would like to reassure our customers that we are doing everything we can to get them on holiday as planned.

"Whilst every delay and cancellation is regrettable, the vast majority of our flights are operating as planned, with more than 26,000 customers taking off yesterday on holiday.

"We’d like to apologise again for the inconvenience caused and we thank customers for their understanding."
