'Devastated' family pay tribute to 'loving dad' who died after being hit by car

The family of a "loving husband, dad and grandad" who died after being hit by a car have paid tribute to him.

Paul Roberts, 63, died after being hit by a black Toyota Alphard car on Liverpool Road in Haydock yesterday (January 28). Emergency services were called to the scene, near Pewfall Park, at around 4.05pm but Paul died at the scene.

Today, Paul's family released a short statement. They said: “It is with great sadness that yesterday, January 28, our loving husband, dad and grandad Paul Roberts was tragically killed in a road traffic accident.
