While a lot of the Michigan State football NFL draft focus is on Jayden Reed and Bryce Baringer, there are a few other Spartans on the bubble. One of them is former Division II standout Kendell Brooks, who transferred to MSU from North Greenville University.
Brooks impressed last year with the Spartans with his hard-hitting style, where he had 100 total tackles and was tied for No. 8 in all of the FBS with three forced fumbles.
According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the Detroit Lions have been in touch with the talented former Division II player:
Michigan State @MSU_Football safety Kendell Brooks (6-0, 206, 4.45, 10-5 broad jump, 35 1/2 inch vertical, 100 tackles, three forced fumbles last season) has Zoom meetings with #Lions #Jaguars, per league source, interest from #Titans. Transfer from Division II North Greenville
