Detriot’s Alex Lange threw a ridiculously unhittable pitch for a called strike that had fans in awe

Being a professional baseball player sounds like a lot of fun in theory but then you when you see what some of these pitchers can do with a baseball and it becomes easier to enjoy our boring, non-baseball playing lives.

Take what happened in the Bronx yesterday, for instance. Yankees right fielder Joey Gallo walked up to the plate to face Detroit’s Alex Lange and could only stand there in the box and wonder how in the world the reliever struck him out with a pitch that had a ridiculous amount a movement before traveling basically through the heart of the strike zone.

This couldn’t have been an enjoyable time for Gallo:

I mean, what are you supposed to do with that pitch?! It looked like a wiffle ball to me with a bunch of magic sprinkled on it

MLB fans were rightfully in awe.
