Detective ‘appalled’ by idea PC Harper’s killers could be released early

The detective who spearheaded the investigation into the death of PC Andrew Harper says he is "appalled" that two men jailed over his manslaughter could qualify for early release.

PC Harper died from fatal injuries in 2019 after becoming entangled in a strap trailing behind a car, which dragged him down a country lane in Sulhamstead, Berkshire, as his killers escaped a quad bike theft.
