NEW DELHI: Extensive restoration work has concluded at the Markaz Subhanallah facility, the primary base for the UN-sanctioned terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a little over a year after the compound suffered severe structural destruction during India's Operation Sindoor retaliatory strikes.

Fresh footage indicates it is fully operational again, complete with reconstructed domes, updated interior plastering, new paint, and premium marble flooring that conceals previous blast damage.
Deep blast zones within the primary hall were filled with concrete, while ruined satellite buildings—including the Al-Sabir seminary and housing units for leadership—were demolished to enable new construction.
Intelligence reports indicate that Pakistani authorities channeled 250 million PKR in cash to JeM, with approximately 110 million PKR dedicated specifically to restoring the central complex over a 15-month period.
With JeM leader Masood Azhar incapacitated by health issues, day-to-day command of the Bahawalpur facility has shifted to his brothers, Talha Al-Saif and Mohinuddin Aurangzeb (also known as Ammar Alvi).
Meanwhile, senior figures Masood Azhar and Rauf Asghar remain harbored under government protection in the Nawabshah district of Sindh, sources said.
