Destiny 2: Into The Light Introduces Exciting New Weapons And Rewards

Destiny 2 Kinetic Weapons Dwindling Relevance In Pve Content

Destiny 2 developer Bungie recently unveiled details about its upcoming content, Destiny 2: Into the Light, during a reward stream. The stream showcased a selection of popular weapons from Destiny 2, including raid weapons, pinnacles, world drops, and unique additions. Notably, players will have access to these weapons regardless of owning specific expansions with raids.

Aside from the weapons, players can also look forward to receiving armor sets for each class inspired by early Destiny 2 designs. Additionally, a highly sought-after reward is the Superblack Shader, which can be unlocked through a miniquest. This shader is a permanent feature and not a one-time-use ornament, as demonstrated on armor pieces.

The weapons in Destiny 2: Into the Light come with an Origin Trait that grants grenade energy on Light subclasses and melee energy on Darkness subclasses. Limited Edition versions of these weapons may drop randomly, featuring a unique appearance and four perks instead of two. These Limited Edition variants will only be available until the release of Final Shape.

Players can enhance their chances of obtaining specific weapons by attuning in the new Hall of Champions. The Final Shape update will introduce 100 new vault slots for storing various weapon rolls. While the weapons are not craftable, Bungie's new 'enhanceable' system will allow players to acquire enhanced perks for these weapons.

New perks like Last Stand, which provides bonus damage on kills, add depth to the gameplay experience. Some weapons boast powerful combinations of perks, such as Hammerhead with both Rampage and Killing Tally. While iconic weapons like Recluse and Luna's Howl make a return, they have been adjusted to prevent them from reaching their previous power levels.

Players are speculating about the potential inclusion of a classic exotic weapon in the content, akin to Icebreaker from Destiny 1. Bungie has hinted at a new exotic mission in Into the Light, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming release.

As Bungie continues to reveal more details through livestreams, fans eagerly anticipate further announcements and surprises. Stay tuned for updates on the final livestream and additional content for Destiny 2: Into the Light.
