Arne Slot has been backed to succeed at either Celtic or Rangers if a managerial vacancy arises.
Former Liverpool midfielder Vladimir Smicer said the Dutchman could adapt to Scottish football. Slot is considering his next move after leaving Liverpool. Speculation has started over possible destinations if either Glasgow club needs a new manager.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is under pressure following the club's results. Questions could be raised about Rangers manager Derek McInnes if results worsen again. Smicer believes Slot would be a candidate for either job.

Speaking about Slot's future, Smicer said: "Managers like Arne Slot will go to a club based on the offer they receive but Celtic or Rangers, like Liverpool, are two really big clubs. [Grosvenor Sport]
"Yes, the Premier League is different to the Scottish Premiership but if he wanted to come in after Martin O'Neill or take over at Rangers, he would be a success.
"We’ll just have to see what he wants to do in his career next."
Slot built his reputation during his time at Liverpool and would be among the best-known names linked with either Glasgow club if a post became available.
