A desperate mum whose son has a rare condition which causes him to eat things like wall coverings and skirting boards is pleading with her local council to carry out adaptations to his bedroom to make it safe for him to sleep in.
Caitlyn McLaughlin's son Barry needs specialist work done to his room to keep him safe.
The five-year-old has a rare disorder called Pica which causes him to eat and crave things that are not food and requires that materials around him which he cannot try and eat or rip up, the Lennox Herald reports.
