A disabled grandma was left with no option but to pull out her own teeth after she waited five months in agonising pain to be seen by a dentist. Jacqueline Shepherd, 56 described her extreme toothache that she developed in February this year as ''sheer hell'' and claims she was unable to eat or even speak without being in pain.
The helpless mum-of-two, from Nottinghamshire, failed to secure a dental appointment despite her terrible pain, Hull Live reports. Left with nowhere to turn, she made the decision to deal with the ongoing torture herself and pulled out one of her own teeth.
She told Nottinghamshire Live : "I have a high pain threshold but it was too painful. I kept twisting it, it took me two days to finally get it out." Jacqueline’s pain was caused by her teeth loosening due to a medication that caused a vitamin D deficiency.
