Cleveland Browns Deshaun Watson is back in the news for all of the wrong reasons after a meltdown against the Dallas Cowboys, followed by the filing of a new lawsuit against him.
This new lawsuit alleges sexual assault and a violent outburst at the hands of the Cleveland quarterback. And the victim is willing to meet and complete an interview with the NFL, according to Tony Buzbee. The lawyer says that will happen in the next two weeks (according to ProFootballTalk):
“I intend to make my client available for interview along with two individuals who spoke to her immediately after the assault. I also have video to share that will be pertinent.”
Both parts are extremely important in this new investigation, one the NFL does not see as similar to the other case that was resolved in 2022 with an 11-game suspension. However, if a video is involved, and one that is pertinent to the case, the Browns quarterback may be in hot water and out of a ton of money.
The Browns still plan to move forward with Watson against the Jacksonville Jaguars as of now.
