'Deserved' - Manchester United fans in agreement as Alejandro Garnacho starts vs Aston Villa

Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Premier League showdown with Aston Villa at Villa Park, making just one alteration.

United, who failed to win either of their two league meetings with Villa last season, will be looking to build on Thursday night's 1-0 Europa League win over Real Sociedad and stretch their winning run to four matches. Alejandro Garnacho netted the only goal of the game to extend their unbeaten run to nine games.

It means that Ten Hag will be looking to see his side maintain their recent run of good form this afternoon, as they aim to try and move into the coveted Champions League places. The Dutchman has opted to make just one change to the side that was victorious in Spain, and it is enforced.

Marcus Rashford has come into the side to replace the suspended Bruno Fernandes. He is serving a one-match ban after picking up his fifth booking of the season last weekend.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial, who has returned after a back injury, have been named among the substitutes. However, Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and Antony remain unavailable.

Having made the decision to make just one change to the side that defeated Sociedad, Ten Hag will be hoping to see a better performance than the one his side produced in Spain, despite winning, as they aim to continue their recent run of good form. It is the decision to hand another start to Garnacho that has attracted the most attention from United's supporters in the immediate aftermath of the team news being confirmed.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's supporters have had to say in response to Ten Hag's decision to hand the 18-year-old his first-ever start in the Premier League.

As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, Ten Hag's decision to award Garnacho his second start in just four days has gone down well. He impressed against Sociedad and United's fans will now be itching to see how he gets on in his first Premier League start.

United starting line-up: De Gea; Dalot, Lindelof, Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen, Van de Beek; Rashford, Ronaldo, Garnacho.

Substitutes: Dubravka, Maguire, Malacia, McTominay, Fred, Elanga, Pellistri, Shoretire, Martial.
