Since he'll have far more free time on Sunday evenings during the 2023 inter-county season, Des Cahill joked that his wife Caroline is already showing him there's a whole new world of possibilities out there aside from dedicating virtually the entire day to watching matches, doing prep work and finally presenting The Sunday Game.
The 63-year-old announced last week that he is stepping down from his role hosting RTE's flagship GAA show after a 15-year-run at the helm.
He's actually stepping away in order to free himself up to cover more matches in person again but for the sake of the below punchline he shared with followers, we'll allow him a bit of artistic license.

Alongside an image of a plush-looking hotel with a pair of cocktails on show, he tweeted: "Legend…! My wife is re-adjusting me..!
"Showing me there is more to a Sunday evening than being in The Sunday Game studio."
The affable Dubliner is always quick to crack such gags on social media with followers equally quick to offer up their own one-liners in response.
Michael replied: "Jaysus, that's some sitting room you have there!"
While Pat also added: "I like what you’ve done with the gaff Des."
While Cahill is known for being an amiable character, he didn't pull any punches in an interview with Vincent Hogan in June where he expressed frustrations that have developed over his time presiding over The Sunday Game.
In it, he outlined recent difficulties it has experienced with so many competing interests and a lack of airtime for them all.
One headline-grabbing line in the piece was 'I see utter frustration all around me... I used to enjoy making The Sunday Game a lot more.'
As for who will replace him in the main chair?
Bookmakers have installed Evanne Ni Chuilinn as the early favourite although other well-established RTE figures like Jacqui Hurley, Darragh Maloney and Darren Frehill are believed to be in with a good shot of landing the prestigious gig.
