Derry have one foot in Division One and they’ll secure promotion with a draw or a win against Clare this weekend.
The Oak Leafers missed out on promotion last year despite gaining 11 points from their campaign so they’ll take nothing for granted.
The Ulster champions have been one of the in-form teams in the country so far this term and they showed all their glass to battle back to defeat Dublin in Celtic Park on their last outing.
With five wins from five, their fate is very much in their own hands and it would take a strange set of results to deny Rory Gallagher’s side.
The Banner, in stark contrast, are battling for their survival in the division with only one win at date and could also be facing the prospect of dropping into the Tailteann Cup later this summer.
