Derry's Jika Jika! Festival set to move to Malin Head after organisers claim they weren't 'fairly treated in own city'

A music festival which attracts around 15,000 people to Derry annually has moved to Donegal after the organisers said they felt they weren't "treated fairly" in the city.

The Jika Jika! Festival, which is also held in Manchester and Vancouver, brought the event to Ebrington Square in previous years but said that an application had been rejected to perform at the Derry venue.

Jika Jika! resident DJ Stephen Porter said took to social media to say the decision would have a "knock-on effect" on other businesses in the area.
