A Derry man who started up his own cosmetic business in 2019 has told of his exciting plans for the future.
Dermot Bradley, who owns Ocean Glow, said the idea for the business came after he tried out similar products and he 'fell in love with them'.
Ocean Glow makes an array of different products including bath bombs, wax melts, room sprays, aroma burners, carpet fresheners, and of course, tan.
Mr Bradley told MyDerry that he "felt lucky" that the business had proved to be a "great success" so far.
He said: It was always something that I was interested in and I never really thought much about it until I saw the opportunity.
"After lots of research into it and contacting different suppliers, I decided to make a go of it and it all just went from strength to strength since then.
"Ocean Glow just had a nice ring to it and I've always wanted to do my own tanning range so the name came from there really.
"After working with a pharmacy and supplier to come up with the tanning solution, I knew it was the right name.
"I was extremely nervous in case no one liked the products which wasn't the case luckily enough.
"Everyone has been so welcoming and made us feel we were doing the right thing with producing the products."
Dermot said the response from the local community and beyond had been "overwhelming" as he thanked old and new customers for showing support.
"It's been just amazing locally and worldwide, the support from the Derry people alone has been overwhelming really and we can not thank them enough.
"We have sent products as far as America, Canada, and New Zealand, it's just been amazing and we're forever, grateful without the support we wouldn't be sitting where we are today.
"Being able to just have time for myself, family, friends again and not being stuck behind a desk all day is the best thing about it."
The Waterside man said he hopes to expand the business in the near future.
"The goal is to eventually open a new shop," said Dermot. "Employ staff and just to succeed and be the best what Ocean Glow can be.
"The best thing for me personally is that it's given me the drive to succeed and it's given me back my life.
