The moment all Derry Girls fans have been dreading has finally arrived. The one-hour finale airs on screens tonight and after four years of fun, mayhem and mischief, it's finally time to say goodbye to the much-loved characters.
Since 2018, the hit TV series set in the 90s has only grown in popularity as viewers have seen the four girls Erin, Orla, Clare, Michelle and the 'wee English fella' James navigate life and school while growing up during The Troubles in Northern Ireland. But show creator and writer Lisa McGee announced in 2021 the third series would be the final instalment.
So to mark the series finale airing on Channel 4, we've put together just some - because let's be honest there are so many - of the most memorable moments from across the three series. Hopefully, some of your favourite moments will feature below....
'Catholics really buzz off statues' and 'Protestants hate ABBA' - the series two chalkboard scene
In series two, school students from Catholic and Protestant schools head on a 'Friends Across The Barricade' trip. When asked if they could name what they have in common, it turns out no one could think of a similarity. But the differences just kept on coming and the chalkboard was so full, they ran out of room.
When the Derry Girls supported Orla at the Talent Show
The final part of the first Derry Girls series showed a complete contrast to the light, funny and heartfelt moments in the sitcom. As the girls ran up on stage to support their friend during the talent show - Ma Mary, Da Gerry, Aunt Sarah and Grandpa Joe were holding back tears as they stood together watching a report on TV about a fatal bomb attack.
The moment James declared himself a Derry Girl
Probably the most iconic Derry Girls moment - when Michelle tells her cousin being a Derry Girl is a "state of mind".
Michelle's take on British and Irish history - while Clare is in full-on panic mode
This scene has been seen all over social media and we've all been there as teenagers, frightfully panicking about our upcoming exams - although, hopefully, we haven't had as many energy drinks as Clare did in this scene.
The moment Clare told Erin she was 'the wee Lesbian'
In series one, Clare had written an anonymous essay about being a gay teenager into the 'Searching for Myself' school writing competition. When her friends discover the essay, she decides to come out to her best friend Erin. But it doesn't quite go to plan and it's not Erin's finest moment. But thankfully the gang are later seen wearing rainbow pins throughout series two and three to support Clare.
The Prom
The Prom in series two had some lovely moments, not only did Orla take Grandpa Joe as her date. But 'Jerin' fans knew there was something special between James and Erin from this moment. She'd been stood up by her date for the school prom and James came to the rescue. He ditched his Doctor Who convention to take her to the Prom.
Sister Michael stylishly pulling up in a DeLorean car
If we could have listed every single Sister Michael scene in this article, we would have. But if we had to pick one, this one from series three is probably the coolest Sister Michael moments - just iconic.
THAT Liam Neeson cameo
The third series certainly started with a bang when Hollywood actor Liam Neeson appeared in the first episode. He was interviewing the gang about a break-in at the school, but he soon met his match when Uncle Colm arrived.
The iconic Spice Girls tribute
There have been so many iconic moments in series three but a highlight has to be when the girls decided to turn into the Spice Girls in the school's edition of Stars in their Eyes. It's the most 90s' scene you ever may seen and despite some disastrous rehearsals, they pulled it out of the bag - that was until Erin ran off stage!
The final one-hour special episode of Derry Girls airs tonight from 9pm on Channel 4. Watch series one to three of Derry Girls on All 4.
