Derry Girls and Bridgerton star Jamie Beamish and Fair City's Clare Barrett have been announced to lead Toy Show The Musical.
The brand-new musical inspired by the much-loved annual RTE TV event opens on 10 December at The Convention Centre in Dublin and will feature some of Ireland's most well-known stage and screen actors in the lead adult roles.
Beamish, best known as Lord Nigel Berbrooke in Netflix’s hit series, Bridgerton will play the role of the dad, Brendan Mooney, the father of Nell, the lead character of the musical.

Fair City’s Barrett, who also starred in Wild Mountain Thyme, has been cast to play Nell's mother, Áine Mooney.
The role of Nana will be played by Anna Healy.
The production which will bring the magic of The Late Late Toy Show live to the theatre stage for the very first time.
The brand-new Irish musical promises to sweep audiences along on one little girl named Nell’s adventure as everyone in her town prepares for the Toy Show on the biggest night of the year.
A casting announcement for the lead role of Nell will be made on Friday 14 th October, during a special Late Late Show reveal.

“We have this wonderful opportunity to take many families into the theatre for the first time, and with that comes a responsibility to show them the unequivocal power of theatre - of sitting in a room together with strangers but leaving with some form of shared experience. That connectivity is exactly what Toy Show encapsulates.”

Toy Show The Musical will run from December 10th, 2022, in The Auditorium, The Convention Centre, Dublin. Tickets are priced from €25.
