A Derry Girls star has hinted that she may star in the upcoming live-action Barbie film, as she dismissed rumours of a role in Doctor Who.

Nicola Coughlan was in fine form as she appeared at Netflix's Bridgeton FYC event in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

Rumours began circulating after the Derry Girls actress posed with the Fourteenth Doctor, Edinburgh-born Ncuti Gatwa at the BAFTA TV awards.
