Ruaidhri Higgins has hailed loan signing Ollie O’Neill, saying the Ireland Under-21 ace has done his homework on the League of Ireland and is ready to hit the ground running.
O’Neill (20) has joined from Fulham until the summer, as flagged last week by Mirror online.
He is one of two attacking loan signings, with Matt Ward arriving from Ipswich.

While Ward’s deal was done in time for him to feature in last week’s President’s Cup win over Shamrock Rovers, O’Neill’s move was confirmed on Thursday.
He goes straight into the squad for Friday night’s trip to St Patrick’s Athletic.
Higgins said: “It’s a fantastic signing for us. Ollie will enhance our attacking options and he’ll get supporters off their seats.
“He’s been eager to get out and get some first team football and Fulham have kindly let him come to us, which we’re very grateful for.
“He’s very, very talented and what was very pleasing was he had done his research and knew a lot about us.
“He was a major influence in the move- he wanted to come here and wants to be a part of things here.”
