Derry residents have been told not to put their bins out as strikes kick off across the city.
The council has released a statement urging people not to leave their rubbish out for collection from today (April 25 to May 1) following Unite the Union's decision to take industrial action.
It comes following confusion through the weekend about whether residents would have their rubbish collected or not.
