After one of the most dramatic games of the 2023 NBA playoffs, Boston Celtics guard Derrick White kept his team’s season alive with a stunning layup at the buzzer to force a Game 7 in the Eastern Conference finals.
The game looked like it’d tilt toward the Miami Heat after forward Jimmy Butler knocked down three free throws for the lead with just a couple of seconds to go in regulation.
Boston got the ball back and tried to get the ball into the hoop for the victory, and it’d be White who scored the bucket right as the buzzer sounded.

The hero bucket for White would give the Celtics the 3-3 series tie and send the Eastern Conference finals back to Boston for what’s sure to be a dramatic Game 7.
Miami has now lost three-straight games after holding a 3-0 lead over Boston, and they’ll have to play some elite basketball to keep the Celtics from winning the series outright.
As for White, he’s going to get a hero’s welcome once he gets back to Boston. His incredible bucket keeps the season alive for the Celtics and keeps the possibility of another NBA Finals berth alive.
