Dermot O'Leary paused This Morning on Friday to issue an apology to TikTok over a comment made by colleague Phillip Schofield a day earlier.
On Thursday's edition of the ITV show, Phillip and co-host Holly Willoughby were joined by Hollie Dance, the mum is fighting to keep her son Archie Battersbee alive. The youngster was found unconscious at home by his mum, who believes he may have been trying to replicate a dangerous online challenge.
The 12-year-old is now at the centre of heart-wrenching a life support treatment dispute, with doctors treating Archie at the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London, claiming the youngster is “brain-stem dead," as his parents are desperate for treatment to continue.

During the interview with Hollie, Phillip mentioned Archie seeing something on TikTok, but that is something that has been denied by the globally popular app, with their denial the focus of Dermot's apology on Friday's This Morning.
As the programme came back from ad break, Dermot stepped in to say: "Yesterday we interviewed the mother of Archie Battersbee who is on life support, following an incident at his home.
"Now it's suspecting that he might have been copying an online challenge. During the interview, Phillip made a reference to TikTok but, in fact, there's no evidence that Archie saw this challenge on TikTok.
Sitting next to Dermot, Alison Hammond added: "TikTok have asked to make it clear that this was never a trend on their platform and that they remove any content that promotes dangerous behaviour that could cause harm."
