Dermot Kennedy said he is returning ‘to where it all began’ with a surprise Grafton Street pop up and secret 'historic' performance.
The Irish singing sensation, 30, dropped his second album, Sonder, on Friday including his hit singles Something To Someone and Kiss Me.
And to celebrate, the Irish musician is back on home ground to meet fans at a signing in Dublin and at his own pop-up shop at Bewley’s Grafton Street.

Announcing the news on Monday evening, the singing sensation who famously busked on the busy Dublin shopping street before he was found, wrote: “Let’s go Dublin!!! Sonder’s coming home!!!
“I can't wait to bring you the pop-up shop tomorrow, from 12pm to 7:30pm at Bewley's Grafton Street where it all began AAAAAND I'll be at @goldendiscs at St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre from 1:30pm to sign some records!!
“Head over to their webpage for more info on the signing. I'll be stopping by the pop up to meet some of you guys as well so let me know who's coming!!”
Taking to his Instagram stories, he went on to tease a special performance on Tuesday evening, saying: "Dublin. 5.45pm tomorrow. You do not want to miss this. Be ready for location. Let's do something historic."
The Giants hitmaker said he had ‘chills’ after his new album release.
The Dubliner said: “It is now just past midnight back in Dublin, which means that, for some of you, 'Sonder' is already out.
“I hope more than anything that you see yourself and your story in this album. The thought of you guys listening to this album for the first time actually gives me chills.”
The singer, who touched down in New York as the album was released to fans on Friday, said it has been ‘a long time coming’.
“This album has been made all over the world for the last few years,” he added.
“Countless late nights and early mornings.
“I’ve been in good places, I’ve been in bad. I’ve felt a range of emotions that I cannot describe putting this project together.
“I can’t express how much all of this means to me. And I hope it means a lot to you too. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love every day.
“Thank you for filling up rooms, big and small, all across the world. Thank you for your undying support throughout this journey. Thank you.”
The singer added: “Sonder — the realisation that each passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own. My second studio album is out now everywhere.”
Dermot has become one of the biggest and fastest selling live artists ever following his historic run of Irish shows in 2022 - with eight huge concerts across Ireland, including a headline slot at Electric Picnic.
