DEREK McINNES has revealed that new Kilmarnock signing Joe Wright will go straight into the matchday squad for tonight's Premier Sports Cup clash with Partick Thistle.
Wright, 27, has signed a one-year deal at Rugby Park after joining as a free agent.
The defender suffered injuries to his knee and ankle in his final outing for previous club Doncaster Rovers at the end of the 2020/21 campaign and was on trial at Hearts earlier this year.
"We’re delighted to bring Joe to Kilmarnock and I’m really looking forward to the season ahead with him as part of our squad," McInnes told the Killie website.

"He’s a good age and size with plenty of experience.
"As soon as we spoke to him it was clear that he was really excited and motivated by the prospect of joining Kilmarnock and playing in the Scottish Premiership.
"We’re mindful that he’s not met the players yet but he’ll be in tonight’s squad."
