Djeidi Gassama will stay at Rangers after the club rejected late interest from Italy and Spain.
Monza made an offer for the winger, with Lecce and Parma also said to be interested. The 22-year-old impressed in Sunday’s win over Aberdeen, and the Rangers Review reports that the attacker will remain in Derek McInnes’s plans for the rest of the season.
McInnes confirmed Rangers were trying to make one signing but said the club were unlikely to be busy in the final stages of the window. He told Sky Sports: "We’re still working hard to get one in at the minute. We’re getting closer on that one, but we believe it’s only going to be the one in.
"On players out, there have been a few conversations. There may well be things develop over the next 24-48 hours on that front. But again, these things are natural. I think most clubs will be seeing and trying to do the last couple of days’ business, trying to get a couple of things in that they need. So we’re no different from that.

Lyall Cameron is close to joining Dundee United on loan, while Bojan Miovski’s future remains uncertain following interest from LASK, Genclerbirligi, and Feyenoord. Meanwhile, Portland Timbers striker Kevin Kelsy has completed a medical ahead of a £9million move to Rangers.
The 22-year-old is expected to provide a replacement option for Youssef Chermiti, who faces several months out after sustaining an ACL injury against Hibernian.
