Derek McInnes reckons Kilmarnock's fans can help guide them to victory in their crucial six-pointer this weekend.
The Ayrshire side welcome Motherwell to Rugby Park on Saturday, and Killie can either slip six behind Motherwell or go six ahead of bottom depending how the day goes.
And McInnes has called on the club's "unbelievable" support to stick with them despite a rough run of away form.
He understands the frustration, but says it needs to "go out the window" as they gear-up for another important home clash.
He said: “We need our supporters on Saturday big time.
“We need them to get ready to come here, get right behind the lads and stay with us.
“The importance of us getting three points can’t be underplayed.
“I look back at this time last season when we got into the run-in, the fans were unbelievable for us and I’d paint the same scenario for us at the minute, we need them.
“If there’s any frustration towards the away form we need to make sure that all goes out the window, Saturday needs to be a huge effort from everyone.
“We need to see the best version of Kilmarnock, and hopefully with that support we can drive ourselves on to another three points at Rugby Park."
Motherwell have had a bounce in form under new boss Stuart Kettlewell who picked up two wins from two which bagged him the job permanently.
McInnes said: “I think regardless of how they come here, it was always going to be a tough game. In the context of both club’s seasons, it was going to be a pivotal game.
“I watched Stuart’s first game against St Mirren last week and they came out the blocks and set about the task. They got their goals and their confidence, the crowd stayed with them and they managed to that win.
“In turn, that helped them put in a good performance against Hearts. I thought there were good qualities against St Mirren but against Hearts it was a better performance and I’m sure they will come here buoyed by those two results.
“But we’ve also got a really strong home record and we have to make that count. We realise the importance of the three points and we have to make sure they stay in Kilmarnock.”
