Depressed Leeds mum tried to jump in front of train but now she has a baby and a reason to live

A woman from Leeds has spoken out about turning her life around from 'not feeling she had much to live for' to sobriety and having her 'miracle' baby.

Lyndsey Roberts, 30, was really struggling with her mental health just eight months ago. On a particularly difficult day in October 2021, she sent some worrying messages to Hayden Lee, founder of Leeds charity Vulnerable Citizen Support, that implied she was likely to hurt herself as she headed to a train station.

Hayden sent his closest available colleague, John, to Crossgates train station. John hurried to Crossgates, where he was able to grab Lyndsey 'seconds' before a train passed.
