Why Depeche Mode fans are flocking to a Prague bridge

People wait in line to recreate a famous photo of two members of Depeche Mode, taken by Dutch photographer Anton Corbijn in 1988, by the Pieta statue at the Charles Bridge in Prague, Czech Republic, Thursday, September 24 - (AP)

A daily queue of tourists at a sculpture on Prague's Charles Bridge has become a new fixture of the 14th-century landmark.

Sightseers have traditionally gathered on the bridge over the Vltava River to see the statue of St John of Nepomuk. However, people are now queuing beside the nearby Pietà monument to recreate a celebrated 1988 photograph of British group Depeche Mode.
