Deontay Wilder Willing To Negotiate Over Francis Ngannou Bout

Deontay Wilder has revealed that he is ready to begin negotiations over a potential bout against Cameroonian MMA star, Francis Ngannou.

Deontay Wilder Open To Potential Francis Ngannou Bout

The Bronze Bomber has endured a difficult few years in the world of boxing, suffering two defeats to Tyson Fury, losing via decision to Joseph Parker and being stopped by Zhilei Zhang most recently.

Prior to his draw with the Gypsy King in December 2018, Wilder boasted a record of 28-0 with 27 of these victories coming via KO.

However, the 39-year-old now holds a record of 43-4 and boxing fans are questioning whether he will ever return to the ring again.

In a recent video on TMZ YouTube, the Bronze Bomber put some of these concerns to bed as he claimed to have offers from several different countries and spoke about a possible fight with Francis Ngannou.

Wilder said (Via TMZ): “Yeah, that’s a conversation that I’m still looking to get into the mix with and talk about.”

The Bronze Bomber was then asked about the competitiveness between himself and Ngannou, after many boxing fans have counted the Cameroonian out following his defeat to Anthony Joshua.

Wilder said (Via TMZ): “I mean any fighter is competitive, you got two hands and two feet and a heart, with the will to win then you got a competition – you got a fight on your hands.

“That’s why when you get in the ring you have to respect every man that steps in there, because you never know what they might bring into a fight.”

Ngannou is coming off a huge victory in the sport of MMA with PFL, becoming the Heavyweight champion with a first round KO victory over Renana Ferreira.

His venture into boxing has been a mixed experience so far, going toe-to-toe with Tyson Fury in his professional debut but then losing to Anthony Joshua via devastating KO.
