Since the NBA All-Star break, Denver Nuggets bench wing Christian Braun has been regaining his form as an impactful player, reminiscent of his performance during the team's championship playoff run last year. In the 2023 NBA championship-winning season, head coach Michael Malone narrowed down his playoff rotation to eight key players, including stars like Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr., Aaron Gordon, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, along with veterans Bruce Brown and Jeff Green. Notably, rookie Christian Braun was the eighth player in the rotation, defying perceptions of Malone's reluctance to trust young players in crucial moments.
Despite high expectations for Braun in the current season, his performance initially fluctuated, with his impact from the previous playoffs seeming elusive. However, post-All-Star break, Braun has shown significant improvement, particularly in defensive intensity and efficiency. His field goal and three-point percentages have notably increased, leading to a substantial rise in his effective field goal percentage and net rating.
