Denver Broncos receiver Josh Reynolds is currently recovering after being shot last week. The incident occurred as Reynolds was driving from a strip club in the early morning hours of October 18. Fortunately, Reynolds is doing okay, although he was described as being 'pretty shaken up' by Broncos coach Sean Payton.
Reynolds, who is currently on injured reserve due to a broken finger sustained in a previous game, was not able to accompany the Broncos to their recent game against the New Orleans Saints. Despite the unfortunate incident, Reynolds has been present at practice, working on a side field as he continues his recovery.
The Denver police have arrested two men in connection with the shootings, which took place along a stretch of Interstate 25 south of downtown. The suspects are being held for investigation of attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault. Police are still working to identify any additional suspects involved in the incident.
Teammates and members of the Broncos organization have expressed their relief that Reynolds is okay and have offered their support during his recovery. The team has been shaken by the incident, with left tackle Garett Bolles emphasizing the importance of unity and condemning violence.
Reynolds, who is in his ninth NFL season and first with the Broncos, has played in five games this season, recording 12 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown. He previously played for the Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles Rams.
We wish Josh Reynolds a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the field soon.
