Denmark dominated much of their opening game against Slovenia and took an early lead through Christian Eriksen. But they let the match drift in the second half and could only manage a 1-1 draw in the end.
England have room for improvement too. They got off to a winning start with a 1-0 victory over Serbia, but their all-round performance left a lot to be desired, especially in the second half.

How to watch Denmark vs England for FREE in the UK
Use a VPN to watch FREE from anywhere
Denmark vs England is free on BBC One/BBC iPlayer for viewers in the UK. Outside the UK? No problem. If you're travelling overseas and want to tune into BBC iPlayer as normal, you can use a VPN so that you don't get blocked by the broadcaster.
A Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs, creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and will let you watch. And all the info going between is entirely encrypted, anonymous and safe – and that's a result.
There are plenty of good-value options out there but, for Euro 2024, FourFourTwo recommends:
NordVPN is basically a tap-in:
1. Install it: NordVPN
2. Fire it up and choose your service. So, if you want to watch a UK streaming service, choose the UK server.
3. Enjoy the game. Open up BBC iPlayer and watch the stream.
Denmark vs England live stream: team news
The big question for Kasper Hjulmand to consider is whether he should dip into the Denmark squad and change his formation.
The Danish boss may well sacrifice Jonas Wind for an extra midfielder, with Christian Norgaard in contention to start.
The England squad is packed full of talent but their performance against Serbia left a lot to be desired.
Luke Shaw could replace Kieran Trippier at left-back, but we should not expect wholesale changes from Gareth Southgate.
