Recently released bodycam footage has shed light on the arrest of a Cook County Board of Review Commissioner, a Democratic official, who was apprehended for driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident involving Samantha Steele, aged 45, occurred on November 10.
Steele was found in a concerning state near two damaged parked vehicles, leading to her arrest. The police report revealed that she admitted to hitting a car and was visibly intoxicated, with officers noting bloodshot and glassy eyes, along with the smell of alcohol on her breath.
