Democrat John Mannion has emerged victorious in the race for New York's 22nd district, defeating Republican incumbent Brandon Williams. This outcome marks a significant shift in the political landscape of central New York, as the district has now turned blue.
Mannion, who currently serves as a New York state senator, secured 53.75 percent of the vote, while Williams garnered 46.25 percent. The margin of victory underscores the strong support Mannion received from voters in the district.
