Demi Moore celebrates ex-husband Bruce Willis' birthday as she praises 'blended family'

Demi Moore has paid tribute to her ex-husband Bruce Willis on his 67th birthday.

The Hollywood stars were married for 13 years and share three daughters - Rumer, 33, Scout, 30, and Tallulah, 28.

Despite their break-up, the pair have remained friends and Demi, 59, celebrated the Die Hard actor's special day with a super cute snap.

Sharing a pic of the pair in the kitchen in which the actress grins while holding up a chopping board, she wrote: ""Happy birthday, Bruce! Thankful for our blended family."

Bruce, who remarried in 2009 and has two young daughters, looks delighted in the snap as he stands next to his ex-wife, smiling for the camera.

Demi's sweet post was praised by fans, who congratulated the actress -who used to be married to Ashton Kutcher - for her family values.

One wrote: "Blended family goals! Adore you both. Blessings."

While another said: "Yours was the model for my blended family! And it works! Everyone is happy."

The actor's wife, Emma Heming Willis, stayed behind with their daughters Evelyn and Mabel in Los Angeles.

During quarantine, the former couple looked like best buds as they treated fans to snaps of them enjoying dance-offs, wearing matching pyjamas and celebrating Father's Day together.

However many fans couldn't get their head around what was happening, with Bruce telling W magazine: "It's generated a lot of interest because everyone can understand resentment and envy in the breakup of a marriage, but they don't understand how I can get along with my ex like that.

"Demi and I made a choice to put the kids first, and we're really lucky that it turns out we all have fun together."

In October, the couple's daughter Rumer echoed her dad's sentiment, telling People magazine her parents 'never pressurised her' to choose one over the other.

She said: "I'm so grateful that we have all really strived to have really deep and meaningful and honest communication.

"I have a lot of friends who grew up with parents who got divorced at a young age and I watched their parents, like, pit them against each other or have to choose between holidays.

"And I didn't have to do that, and I feel so grateful that my parents made it such a priority that we could be a family, even though it looked different."
