The Chicago Bulls are one game away from earning the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
On Friday, the Bulls take on the Miami Heat for the right to play the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the playoffs.
In the matchup with the Heat, Bulls center Nikola Vucevic has a tough matchup with Heat big man Bam Adebayo, but DeMar DeRozan showed praise to his teammate, calling him the ‘anchor’ of the Bulls.
“He’s incredible. He played every game this year. He works his butt off. He’s the anchor of this team,” DeRozan said of Vucevic on ESPN’s NBA Today on Thursday.
On the season, Vucevic averaged 17.6 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. In Wednesday’s play-in victory over Toronto, Vooch finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block.
“We can always count on him. He does so much for us. He deserves so much more credit than he gets.”
The Bulls will need a big performance from Vucevic for Chicago to get past Miami and into the postseason on Friday night.
