DeMar DeRozan breaks down monster second half in Bulls win over Kings

The Chicago Bulls looked done for on Wednesday night. They were in California to take on the Sacramento Kings, and in the third quarter, they were down by as many as 19 points. A defeat would have marked their second in a row and their fourth loss in their last six games. Not great for a team looking to push their way up in the Play-In race.

However, DeMar DeRozan wasn’t going to let that happen. After attempting just one field goal in the first half, DeRozan exploded for a monster second half. Most notably, he scored 19 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Bulls overcome a 22-point third-quarter deficit. They picked up a miraculous 113-109 win over the Kings.

After the game, DeRozan spoke about what led to his monster second half.

“Some games I feel it right away and some games you’ve got to kind of ease into it,” DeRozan said via ESPN. “And just me knowing myself, I know at one point I was going to get it going. So, came through when we needed it.”

DeRozan finished the game with 33 points, four assists, and two steals while shooting 10-of-12 from the field and 2-of-3 from beyond the three-point arc.
