Deliveroo giving out free ice cream to make up for missing Leaving Cert weather

Deliveroo will tomorrow be giving out free tubs of Ben & Jerry's ice cream to customers to make up for the lack of usual sunny Leaving Cert weather this weekend.

Leaving Cert weather is a phenomenon that usually sees bright spells and high temperatures when thousands of young people around the country have to stay inside and study for their exams. This weekend, though, Met Eireann is forecasting showers and unfavourable conditions.

To make up for the missing sunshine and glorious weather, Deliveroo will tomorrow give out free 100ml tubs of Ben & Jerry's to customers.

The flavours that will be available include favourites such as Cookie Dough and Chocolate Fudge Brownie. The free tubs can be redeemed by customers who use the code LEAVINGCERT when ordering from any Ben & Jerry’s store on the Deliveroo app this Friday, June 10.

Additionally, Deliveroo customers can also redeem their free tub when ordering through student staple Boojum. Those spending €10 or more at Boojum can simply add a free tub of Ben & Jerry’s onto their order by using the code.

Customers are advised to act fast with this offer as there will only be 1000 free tubs of Ben & Jerry's to give away tomorrow.

Commenting on the giveaway Breffney Brass, Director of Deliveroo Ireland, said: “Deliveroo wanted to give all the students out there, whether they're sitting the Junior or Leaving Cert, or studying for end of year college exams, a treat, and more importantly an excuse to take a break, even if the weather isn’t brilliant.”

Geographical restrictions apply with this offer.
