A mum was overjoyed to be reunited with her beloved cat, who went missing eight months ago, after hearing his meow over a chance phone call.
Rachel Lawrence, 40, said she "recognised" the meow in the background when she contacted the vet to check on her other cat, 11-month-old Torvi, who was in for an operation.
She asked the receptionist if it was Torvi making the noise and was told "No, that's just a stray we had brought in a week ago".
