NEW DELHI: With a dedicated team of 20 doctors, nurses and technicians from different departments, Lok Nayak Hospital is once again fully prepared to handle the outbreak of another global health emergency — monkeypox.
Medical director of Lok Nayak Hospital Dr Suresh Kumar said, “When cases emerged in Kerala, Delhi government sounded an alert and announced being fully prepared for monkeypox. From the second week of July, we started training doctors, nurses and technicians on following protocols. We are closely following guidelines set up by WHO and the Centre. Guidelines issued by CDC have also been circulated to all clinical units.”
