New Delhi: Over 4,500 motorists, including those involved in drunken driving and dangerous driving, were prosecuted for various traffic violations on the eve of New Year 2025, the Delhi Police said on Wednesday.

“This year, on New Year’s Eve, a total of 558 motorists were prosecuted for drunken driving, compared to 416 in 2023, 318 in 2022, 25 in 2021, 19 in 2020, and 299 in 2019,” the Delhi Traffic Police said in a statement.
