As Delhi-NCR prepares for the annual smog season, parents at a leading school in the region are reportedly considering pooling money to purchase air purifiers for their children's nursery classrooms. The move, shared in a viral post on X, has sparked a debate over whether families or schools should bear the responsibility for protecting young children from worsening air pollution.
Delhi-based professional Anirudh Arun shared the account on X, saying parents were discussing buying air purifiers from brands such as Dyson, Honeywell and Sharp for classrooms. The plan reportedly emerged after parents raised concerns about the school's existing air-filtration arrangements and questioned whether they were sufficient to protect children during periods of poor air quality.
