New Delhi: Delhi Governmnet on Thursday announced the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' under which Rs 1000 will be given to eligible women each month.
Kejriwal makes announcement
Ex-Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal said that the Cabinet has approved the scheme.

"AAP would hike the amount to Rs 2,100 if their government returned to power," he added.
The scheme was initially announced in the 2024-25 budget with an allocation of Rs 2,000 crore.

It is pertinent to mention that the election is due early next year.
The term of the current assembly in Delhi will expire on February 23, 2025.
